Boyle, the Edinburgh Acting School graduate, tells us:
“I did My Kind of People for fun. I also sang locally but things had quietened down.”
But then came “Ugly Woman Can Sing” shocker and Susan Boyle became a moral and theological lesson to the world.

Serbian Union Leader Cuts Off And Eats Own Finger
TO Belgrade, Serbia, where Zoran Bulatovic, a Serbian union official, is highlighting his comrades struggle for food and wages by chopping off his finger and eating it.
Says Bulatovic:
“We, the workers, have nothing to eat. We had to seek some sort of alternative food and I gave them an example.”
To make the Bulatovic recipe, you’ll need a union leader at the Raska Holding textile factory in Novi Pazar in southwestern Serbia, a hacksaw and a little finger.
Bulatovic says he stepped in after his deputy, “a single mother of three, was the first to say she would cut off her finger. I could not allow her to do that.”
By way of background, the report issues an ironic aside:
About two dozen workers went on a 19-day hunger strike last year.
Eat the poor - feed them to the rich!

TOP 5 TOUGHEST PRESIDENTS
Being the leader of the free world is a tough job. You have to have a set of stones if you’re going to let the world know who’s boss. However, some Presidents are more physically imposing then others and would have no problem showing the opposition who’s boss. Here are the top five President’s that, if Politics were the UFC,would stomp Hugo Chavez’s ass.
Gerald Ford
Despite being portrayed as a klutz by the media, Ford was linebacker and center for the University of Michigan giving the school two undefeated seasons and national titles in 1932 and 1933. He also took down Heisman Trophy winner Jay Berwanger.
Teddy Roosevelt
Forget that crippled guy, if ever there was a “man’s man” in the Oval Office, it’s Teddy Roosevelt. The original “Rough Rider”, Roosevelt enjoyed hunting, ranching, taking down outlaws, and boxing. Upon leaving the White House, Roosevelt enjoyed big game hunting and killed 512 big game animals like rhinos while on safari. Care to step into the ring Ahemadinjad?
Andrew Jackson
There’s a reason this guy is on the twenty. At age thirteen, Jackson joined the Revolutionary War effort as a courier and wound up being taken prisoner by the British. While incarcerated, Jackson not only almost starved to death but took slashes from a Red Coat for refusing to clean his captors boots. One would think Jackson would’ve started playing it safe after that incident, but he’d only just begun. Jackson had a unique way of settling disputes; with a duel. Jackson reportedly fought 13 duels one of which he won with a bullet lodged in his chest.
Abraham Lincoln
Don’t mess with this guy, when Lincoln lived in New Salem he challenged the leader of a local group of ruffians to a wrestling match. Lincoln grabbed the guy by the neck and shook him like he was child, riling up his gang. When a normal man would’ve retreated, Lincoln offered to take ‘em all on. Should’ve thought twice Confederacy.
Ulysses S. Grant
One of the most aggressive and successful generals of the Civil War, Grant was described by historians as a man who understood the importance of “the simple importance of inflicting greater losses on the enemy than he can sustain, day after day, until he breaks. Grant the boy never retraced his steps. Grant the man did not retreat—he advanced.” Bad ass.

Russian cannibals 'eat their brother'
Two cannibals have been feasting on the remains of their brother for the last six months in an effort to hide his murder, it was revealed today.
The brothers, identified only as 28-year-old Timur and 23-year-old Marat admitted killing their older brother Rafis and then eating him, in the central Russian city of Perm.
Police grew suspicious when the brothers reported Rafis missing but were vague giving details of their brother, according to tabloid Tvoi Den.

Man calls 911 because kids won't listen
SHALIMAR -- A man called 911 because his kids wouldn't listen, he told the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputy who responded. He seemed intoxicated, the deputy noted in the report.
An hour later, the man's wife called 911 and said her husband was angry and calling the children "no good pieces of (expletive) kids." He also called his son a derogatory name and tried to punch him, the wife said.
An emergency injunction was obtained to protect the family. The man agreed to go to Bridgeway Detox Center, but on the way he began to spit and blow his nose on the seat in the back of the deputy's patrol car. He also screamed and called his wife a profane name until he passed out.
The deputy called and asked that EMS meet him at Bridgeway due to the amount of alcohol the man had ingested.
The case was referred to the Department of Children and Families.

Polar Bear Attacks Woman In Berlin (Video)
When we read that Knut was meeting with his therapist at the time, we thought of another nut - the woman who dived into the polar bear enclosure at Berlin Zoo.
The polar bears need saving. And this woman will save them by turning them on to human meat. The lucky Flocke.
If polar bears can eat humans, seals will be saved. It’s the polar bear plunge! Can you hear the screams of Mother Nature?
The woman was not eaten. She was only nibbled.
The polar bears rejected her sausage-reared carcas.
They crave journalists, washed down by polar bear water.

TOP TEN DUBAI ARCHITECTURE
Burj Al Arab
The Burj Al Arab (Arabic: برج العرب, "Tower of the Arabs") is a luxury hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates managed by the Jumeirah Group and built by Said Khalil. It was designed by Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC. At 321 metres (1,053 ft), it is the tallest building used exclusively as a hotel.[2] However, the Rose Tower, also in Dubai, which has already topped Burj Al Arab's height, will take away this title upon its opening in April 2008. The Burj Al Arab stands on an artificial island 280 metres (919 ft) out from Jumeirah beach, and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It is an iconic structure, designed to symbolize Dubai's urban transformation and to mimic the billowing sail of a boat.
Burj Dubai
Burj Dubai (Arabic: برج دبي "Dubai Tower") is a supertall skyscraper currently under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. When it is completed in late 2008, it is predicted to be the tallest man-made structure in the world, as well as the tallest building by any measure. Scheduled for occupancy in September 2009, the building is part of a 2 km² (0.8 sq mi) development called 'Downtown Burj Dubai' and is located at the "First Interchange" (aka "Defence Roundabout") along Sheikh Zayed Road at Doha Street.
The building is being built mainly by a South Korean company Samsung, along with the Belgian company Besix and the UAE company Arabtec. It was designed by American Adrian Smith before he left Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP (SOM) of Chicago to start his own independent practice, Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture in October 2006. However, SOM continues to lead the architectural, structural engineering and mechanical engineering of Burj Dubai. The total budget for the Burj Dubai project is about $4.1 billion US and for the entire new 'Downtown Burj Dubai', $20 billion US.
The Palm Jumeirah
The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial island created using land reclamation by Nakheel, a company owned by the Dubai government. It is one of three islands called The Palm Islands which will increase Dubai’s shoreline by a total of 520 km. The Palm Jumeirah is the smallest and the original of three Palm Islands (Palm Jumeirah, Palm Jebel Ali and Palm Deira) under development by Nakheel. Even at this reduced height it will still become home the world's tallest hotel, Rose Rotana Suites, surpassing the Burj Al Arab at 321 m (1,053 ft), also in Dubai once it is occupied. As of October 24th 2006, the building reached its full height with the addition of the spire.

Park Place
Park Place, architecturally designed by an international team, will become a spectacular addition to the skyline on Sheikh Zayed Rd and is set to be the most exclusive city address for corporates and residents.
The 60-floor building, designed to harness the elements, will implement a heat refracting technology never used in the Middle East before, to assist in keeping the building cool, thereby saving money and reducing the effects of air conditioning on the environment.
The building will be sheathed in a 'second skin', protecting it from the heat generated by the fierce Arabian sun as well as channelling cooler air around the inner layer of the building.
Originally inspired by the shape of a perfume bottle that Mr Bin Drai came across ten years ago, the building has been designed by an Australian firm, Cox Architecture Planning Design, following a design competition between six top international architecture firms who competed to meet the brief.

10 Yrs for Stealing Toilet Paper?
WARSAW, Poland, April 9 (UPI) -- Polish police arrested a 26-year-old man for stealing a toilet paper roll from a Warsaw restaurant, a crime that could cost him 10 years in jail. ‘The worst disaster in Midwest City history’
Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes watched towers of flame and smoke rise over homes in several neighborhoods Thursday evening.
As wind-whipped wildfires spread out of control, every blowing ember became a potential threat. Every home’s rooftop was potential kindling for the next fire.
Clabes said he can’t think of a disaster where more Midwest City residents had their lives or homes put in danger. About 100 homes were destroyed, authorities said.
"This is probably the worst disaster in Midwest City’s history, even worse than the May 3, 1999, tornadoes,” Clabes said
No serious injuries had been reported by 10 p.m., Lojka said. Some residents had been treated for smoke inhalation and some firefighters were treated for dehydration.
Authorities sent residents in the evacuated areas to the Midwest City Community Center, where about 100 people were staying Thursday evening.
