Tis the season to head south, but don't be too hasty to leave for warm-weather locales. In Manhattan, families line up to see the elaborate Christmas window displays at stores like Lord & Taylor and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Across the street from Saks on 49th Street, the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, a tradition since 1931, pumps up the voltage tonight, December 3. This year's tree, grown in Hamilton, New Jersey, is an eight-ton, 72-foot-tall Norway Spruce. Show off your latest double lutz on the ice skating rink just in front of the tree.
